FIT FUNdamentals/Aspire Coaching uses a periodization approach to training, incorporating endurance, strength, power, speed, taper and recovery aspects of training. The 4th and 5th components of a successful race– transition and nutrition are taught as well.

 

We offer three 8 week sessions to prepare for targeted triathlons.

LOBO TRIATHLON - APRIL 8, 2018
TRAINING: February 7 - April 8, 2018 (off on Feb 14 and President's Day weekend) 
Wednesdays 6:15-7:30 p.m. at the West Mesa Aquatic Center
Saturdays 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at various metro locations.


CITY OF LAKES TRIATHLON - JUNE 9, 2018
TRAINING: April 18 - June 9, 2018 
Wednesdays 6:15 - 7:30 p.m. at the West Mesa Aquatic Center
Saturdays 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. at various metro locations.


SOCORRO CHILE HARVEST TRIATHLON - AUGUST 4, 2018
TRAINING: June 13 - August 4, 2018
Wednesdays 6:15-7:300 p.m. at the West Mesa Aquatic Center
Saturdays 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. at various metro locations.

Each 8 week session includes:
• Twice weekly coached training sessions - Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings
• Weekly detailed training schedule – you’ll know every day what you are doing
• Email contact with coach
• USAT certified coaches
• Coach supported races
• Aspire Coaching swim cap
• Option to purchase Team FIT FUN/Aspire Coaching racing kit (jersey, shorts, jackets and more)

SPRINT RACE: 5 K run + 10 mile bike + 400 yard pool swim
Training dates:
Wednesdays, 6:15 – 7:30 p.m. at West Mesa Aquatic Center – swim on: Feb 7, 21, 28, March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4 
Saturdays – 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. – run and/or bike training at various Metro locations on: Feb 10, 24, March 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

Race #2: City of Lakes Triathlon – Saturday, June 9, 2018 – Santa Rosa, NM
SPRINT RACE: 400 meter open water swim + 8.75 mile bike + 2.5 mi run
Training dates:
Wednesdays, 6:15 – 7:30 p.m. at West Mesa Aquatic Center – swim on: April 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, June 6
Saturdays – 8:00 – 9:30 a.m.– run and/or bike training at various Metro locations on: April 21, 28, May 5,12, 19, 26, June 2

AQUA BIKE OPTION as well.

Race #3: Chile Harvest Triathlon – August 4, 2018 - Socorro, NM
SPRINT RACE: 400 Yard swim + 15 mile bike + 5 K run  
Training dates:
