The event is free. Everyone must sign-up. Donations can be made to help cover event expenses. "This bike ride is meant to honor cyclists who have been killed in NM in crashes with motor vehicles and raise awareness of cyclists on NM streets and highways. It is about remembering but also about celebrating cycling and what it means to us." On-line registration deadline: September 18, midnight. In person registration & packet pick-up: 2:00 to 3:30 pm September 19 at High Desert Yoga, 4600 Copper NE Albuquerque, NM Cyclists will ride down Central Avenue – Historic Route 66 – from Jefferson St. to Rio Grande Boulevard, turn right and proceed to Mountain Road. Another right hand turn will take us to Tiguex Park at 19th Street. At the park, we will remember cyclists who have lost their lives as a result of a collision with a motor vehicle in New Mexico by reading the names of these fallen cyclists. Speakers will remember these riders and focus on actions you can take to make cycling safer for all. There will also be music and refreshments, and representatives from cycling related vendors and advocacy organizations. Fee:
